Just Film Festival Celebrates 25th Edition with a Diverse Lineup of International Youth Films!

Just Film, the youth and children’s film festival of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF), which is one of Estonia’s largest events for children and young audiences, has announced its film program for this year. The festival will feature a total of 53 unique films premiering in various programs.

This year’s Just Film lineup includes films for toddlers, children, and teens, as well as documentaries, films about children’s rights, and anime. There is also a special program, #YoungFilmmaker, showcasing films made by Estonian youth on the big screen.
Just Film’s Program Director, Mikk Granström, is very excited about this year’s exceptional selection: “The International Youth Film Competition will feature nine films, and we are truly proud that Just Film audiences will be among the very first in the world to see them. We are deeply grateful to the filmmakers for entrusting us with their premieres — it is a clear vote of confidence in our program and work.”

Granström also emphasized the character of the festival’s selection: “Just Film’s films are bold and address important topics. Our audience — children, teenagers, and young adults — values authentic stories that can genuinely make a difference. Screening their films here provides filmmakers with a rare opportunity to receive immediate and honest feedback directly from young viewers.”
The festival will host over 100 international guests, many of whom will be available for Q&A sessions following the film screenings.

This year’s International Children’s and Youth Film Competition features a total of 20 films, including world, international, and Baltic premieres. In addition to the youth jury, a three-member international jury will also evaluate the films and award the Grand Prix valued at €3,000.
