Good news for schools and teachers! This year, you can attend Just Film through the Kultuuriranits program. Kultuuriranits is a support scheme initiated by the Ministry of Culture, aimed at ensuring children and young people can participate in cultural life, fostering a new generation of culture-appreciating audiences, and creating favorable conditions for cultural engagement.
The per-student grant allows every pupil to visit at least one cultural institution per year as part of their school curriculum, helping them acquire skills outlined in the national curriculum while growing into creative and versatile individuals.
In 2025, the Kultuuriranits grant will be distributed to schools via the local government funding system, in the same budget as in 2024, and is allocated to all students in grades 1–9 in Estonia, including students with special educational needs and those in home schooling. Schools must ensure that the grant reaches every student, as long as the student’s place of residence and overall school arrangements allow.
Just Film offers schools the opportunity to use the Kultuuriranits grant to bring students to the festival, where they will enjoy:
world and international premieres,
educational and creativity-enhancing discussions and activities,
an exciting and safe environment for experiencing the art of film.
The festival takes place from 7–23 November in Tallinn and Tartu.
